“The portable horseshoe pits and shoe designs are a welcome addition to the ESU Recreation Center’s diverse sport and activity offerings. I found the pits to: be simple to set up, give me the ability to place them on any indoor or outdoor surface (flat, irregular, or slopped), light enough to transport, and function exactly like a fixed horseshoe stake. The rubber shoe has the correct standardized weight, is pliable, did not damage any of my floor surfaces, and is safer than throwing a metal shoe.
This product is an innovation to the long traditional of the horseshoe industry and has given me the ability to easily add horseshoes to my outdoor and indoor programming. Now instead of damaging my fields or open campus area by driving a two foot stake into the ground, as well as making sure I have the correct stake angle. I just place the unit (in seconds) on the ground, unfold the sides, walk-off the throwing distance, and It’s time to play. In addition, if there is any inclement weather, or I don’t have lighting for evening play, I just move the pit to any indoor area on campus, and start the program.”
